Additional Provisions for Individuals Within the European Economic Area
Collecting, Storing and Managing Your Personal Information. When you provide Covenant Journey with your name, contact and other necessary personal information, it is recorded in databases that we own and manage. Information that may be collected may include: Name, address, email address, telephone numbers, donation history, payment information, topics of interest and other personal information voluntarily disclosed. We do not store credit card data that you submit online.
Your Contact Information. After registering for an account, donating, ordering educational materials or subscribing to our emails or mailing lists, you may be contacted by us. Emails we send will contain unsubscribe links. Your contact information will be utilized to provide information that we believe will interest you. You may quickly and easily opt out of our emails by using the contact information on our websites.
Tracking Website Visitors. We may collect certain device information such as your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, pages browsed and date/time stamps. An IP address is the unique number automatically assigned to your computer when you log onto the Internet. As you enter our website, our server records your IP address and uses it to develop aggregated statistical analysis to help develop content and design of our site. The use of IP addresses may prevent malicious Internet users from masquerading as other users. We may use technology, such as embedded code and web beacons in emails, to assist with deliverability.
Use of Cookies. A cookie is a piece of data stored in your web browser’s memory. We use cookies to serve you better, for example, by holding data about resources you want to order, to enable online polling and to compile statistics. We never store financial or credit card data within cookies. If you are uncomfortable with cookie technology you can disable cookies in your browser settings, but you will lose some website functionality, such as shopping cart information.
Voluntary Surveys. If you participate in voluntary surveys, we may request information including demographic information, such as state and zip code. This information will be used to improve the relevance of our communications with you.
Your Rights. If your personal information is held by us, you have the right to ask what information we hold about you and why; ask for a copy of such information or access to such information; be informed how to correct or keep that information up to date; and be informed on how this ministry is meeting its data protection obligations.
Age Restriction. By using our website, ordering materials or registering for our emails, you certify that you are not under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, ask your parent or guardian to obtain the information for you.
Opt-Out. If at any time you do not want your names and mailing addresses shared with other organizations, you should send an opt-out request via e-mail, mail or telephone. Some of our service providers will have access to donor information solely to provide computer and data processing services to the ministry. Donors, both online and off-line, may opt-out of specific or all correspondence at any time by contacting this ministry by email, phone or correspondence. Our contact information is on the ministry websites and other educational materials.
Acceptance and Change of Privacy Policy. By accessing any of our websites, you affirm acceptance of this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to modify our Privacy Policy at any time.
Data Protection. Covenant Journey has no presence in the European Economic Area (“EAA”), but may, from time to time, collect personal information from European individuals who contact us. That personal information will be maintained in the United States. Covenant Journey complies with all applicable data-protection laws, including applicable provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
Lawful Grounds to Process and Obtain Consent. Individuals whose personal information is collected in the EEA may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis for processing the individual’s information. Should an individual withdraw consent for processing or otherwise object to processing that impedes Covenant Journey’s ability to comply with applicable regulations, a person may be unable to access educational materials, donate or engage in other interactions with this ministry. Anonymous donations are accepted.
Individual’s Rights. For data collected in the EEA, individuals have the additional right to: Ask for a copy of such information to be sent to a third party; ask for data to be erased if possible and when required under the GDPR; ask for processing of personal information to be restricted if possible and when required under GDPR; object to processing of personal information if possible and when required under GDPR; and contact a supervisory authority in the EEA to lodge a complaint regarding processing of your personal data.
Automated Decision-Making. This ministry does not engage in automated decision-making concerning individuals except for providing relevant information of interest to the individual.
Non-Disclosure of Information. This ministry does not share any nonpublic personal information of individuals with any third-party organizations for commercial purposes except as noted in this policy.
Security and Disposal of Information. This ministry restricts access to nonpublic personal information to employees who need to access such information and who have signed a confidentiality agreement. All electronic or computer files containing such information are secured and protected from access by unauthorized persons. Records regarding individuals are not left in places where they are visible to unauthorized persons. Data printouts and files are disposed of securely when no longer needed.
Revision of Privacy Policy. This ministry reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time, without advanced notice. Accordingly, we recommend that you check for updates to this Policy on an on-going basis.
